Current Events

I've been visiting other blogs recently at my brother's suggestion. They are all so culturally conscious and up to date on current events. I consider myself to be relatively intelligent and rarely am I at a loss for an opinion on a subject. But at this point in my life, I haven't the slightest interest in most of this stuff.
I guess I should mention that most of the sites I visit are links from my brother's blog and he's a law student and I understand that a lot of the people he has linked are involved in the law one way or another. Wow, that could be interpreted really wrong. They are not fugitives or ex-cons, they are lawyers or other law students etc.
The point is they are writing about things that interest them and right now if it doesn't involve diapers and temper tantrums it doesn't feel very relevent to my life. Maybe I'll try to concentrate a bit more on what is going on in the world and become a little more well rounded, maybe I could learn something. Or maybe I'll just go into the living room and watch Veggie Tales.

Veggie tales is good. I think it's one of the few clever programs left out there for children anymore. People are too quick to take the easy joke than they are to think of one. I pined on this topic once a while back.

It looks like you got spammed on a blog. I didn't even know that was possible

yeah, no kidding, no more anonymous postings accepted here.

I agree with Devon above. Personally, I like the blogs that are about individuals, as opposed to "intellectual issues" and "moral consciousness" and the "Deep Thought of the Day" (unless it revolves around someone telling a personal story). Humor is good, too. Maybe I'm shallow, but I'd rather connect with the person instead of their mental prowess.

I think that's why I can't keep up on my blog. I keep wanting to write something intellectually stimulating, but I'm bored by it. :-)

lol! I have no problem not writing anything intellectually stimulating. In fact I had trouble writing "intellectually stimulating". :)
