Jack

You know I figured I ought to write about some of the cute things Jack has been doing lately. If not for you to read, for me to have written down somewhere for future memories.

Last Sunday our little guy went up for children's time. After running around all the other kids and the pastor he turned around and started "preaching" of course we couldn't understand what he was saying but he was gesturing and shaking his head like he knew what he was doing. He is certainly not shy, the packed room was his personal audience. I commented that the other children don't run around yelling during children's time and my mom said that he would sit still eventually and then I would miss the running around. Of course none of the other kids are as young as Jack is, he's only 20 months.

Yesterday Jack came up to me and said "Pop pop" because he wanted a drink of my pop (he's so smart!)and since we had recently decided that we didn't want him to take so many sips of our soda Brett told him "no". Then Brett went down the hall and into the computer room, Jack followed him saying "Bye Bye" and once Brett was out of sight he turned around and ran back to me saying "pop pop". And so he begins trying to play us against each other.

Well I have to go, hopefully I'll be back soon.

You know, that congregation has a vested interest in Jack - their prayers are at least part of the reason you and he both made it through the pregnancy and birth. And we are lucky to have a pastor who totally believes and lives the philosophy that all children are welcome in God's house.

Jack's such a cutie pie. There's something special about this time between 1 and 3 where you can see the little buggers' personalities bloom more and more every day. Just wait until his notices that the stars in the sky are the same as in the song "Twinkle Twinkle." It's a hoot.
