Graduation Confirmation

Well, I received confirmation that with the passing completion of this astronomy class I will, indeed, receive my AAS. Brett and Steve both think that I ought to walk to receive my diploma. I think it's a little embarrassing since it only took me 10 years to complete it. I kinda feel like it's a fake degree because it's only a 2 year one instead of a 4 year one. I'm glad I'm going to have the degree but I'm not too proud of it. I would be proud of a bachelor's degree. (Steve stay off my back about it)

Anyhow, onto other things. We bought a plaster handprint kit for Jack. I think they're made for younger kids cause his hand barely fit. It's nice though, it is drying out right now on top of the fridge. When it's done it will be a wall hanging. I'm happy because I did a handprint and footprint thing for my mom but we didn't have anything like that.

I also got some Christmas shopping done. I got a couple of project kits for Brett's nieces at Joann's. I hope they like them, I got a "knit a purse" for one and a "paint a mirror" for the other. I also got my nephew a couple of little stained "glass" painting things. I think they're suncatchers. Anyway, I thought he might like them to go along with his birthday gift that Jack made him. It's nice to have some Christmas shopping done since we usually do it at the end of December, right before Christmas.

I'm going to be going back to work soon. Just for a couple of weeks. I'm nervous. It's back to a place I worked before, they called me and asked if I'd be interested in coming in and doing a short project for them. I'm just nervous that I won't do it right or I'll take too long or something. I'm tempted to say no but I really think it would be good for me to get out there again at least for a little while. It will look good on my resume I suppose. I have someone terrific to watch Jack for me so I'm not worried about him.

I better get back to my homework so I can be sure of a passing grade :)

Doing the "Dance of Joy" for you Cassie! I know how difficult it is trying to fit study and work and a family all at once. You "go girl" Congratulations :o)

Be nice to your sister Steve!

You're going to be fine, Cassie. I'm excited for you. I'd watch your young'un if you want, but then you'd have to watch my kids for the summer!

I'm very excited for you finishing school. Congratulations!

Thanks Mom and Michelle and Steve.
Steve, I'll watch them, they'll have to stay in the closet with Jack though. ;)

Congrats, Cassie!!! Every goal accomplished, big or small, should be celebrated. It's what keeps you reaching for the next one.

lol! I have lots of time on my hands but I'm not doing either! I'm probably napping!
No, I've been busy with school (almost done yahoo!) and typing up stuff for the Prader-Willi Syndrome Association (www.pwsausa.org) and getting ready for work tomorrow. The work thing took a lot more time than you would think since I had to get all of Jack's stuff together (I had to make sure he has enough "nacks" to eat which is no small task). Oh, Jack doesn't have Prader-Willi but it sure sounds like it from the way we talk about him and food!

You went all pink on me! I like! :)
LOL, poor Jack, the munchkin will grow up with a food complex, hehehe. I remember those *nack* days. "A" was so picky with her food (still is) it used to drive me crazy!
