Christmas Shopping

Is it a rule that all stupid people must congregate in the aisle I want to be in? I'm pretty sure it is. We were shopping for our little guy last night and we encountered what must have been a clan of people from the same extended family and they were everywhere, especially the middle of the aisles just standing there. They were starting to make me mad. I always move over if I see someone trying to get through. These people just stood there and their kids... they were EVERYWHERE! There must have been 6 kids to every adult. Any child under 3 needs to be in a cart, for their safety if not for my convenience.

Aargh! Ok, enough complaining, my husband says I'm not happy if I'm not complaining. I sure wish he'd keep his comments to himself! lol Anyhow, I had a really nasty experience at another store earlier in the day yesterday too so Christmas shopping is not all it's cracked up to be. At Sears I was buying some shoes for my husband and the saleslady was completely rude. I asked her if she knew a friend of mine who happened to work there at one time as a manager and the lady starts telling me how lazy this person was and how she just can't stand lazy people. I couldn't believe the nerve of this "lady" (I use the term loosely). I can't imagine sharing my opinions so freely, especially since she didn't know who I was. I could have been this person's daughter or niece. Needless to say I made a phone call to the manager later in the day. I generally don't do that because I like to give people the benefit of the doubt that they're having a really bad day but this lady went way beyond simple rudeness. She even told a customer ahead of me that she should take her accessories to another counter because this was a commission counter. She didn't want to take the time to ring up something that wasn't going to make her any money. She screwed up and charged me too much and then took 5 minutes and 9 receipts to fix it before she finally just handed me cash out of the till (I paid by credit card).

But I saved $70 on two pairs of shoes for Brett so I suppose it was worth it. Ahh, well I must go get ready for church and get little turkey boy ready too.

Your grandma once told a "gentleman" who barged in front of her that she was next in line and he should get behind her. When he became angry, she told him, "Well, if someone is going to get all pissed off about this, it might as well be you." This is the same woman who would get children out of her way by whispering to them, "Your mother is calling you."

I went to the store yesterday, too, and I think the same people you encountered were at my store. Congenital idiots whose family tees have no branches, standing in the aisles, looking at me when I said "Excuse me" and ignoring me. I do more and more of my shopping online and through catalogs. I'd hate for anyone to think I was with any of them. Ho ho ho.

Trust me Cassie, it's world wide! Morons congreagating in asiles, i swear Christmas brings the worst out in some people. How rude that saleslady was, i don't blame you for reporting her. Fancy telling someone to move all because of commission...my goodness.
Well, you did get a bargain.....go girl!

Don't forget about holiday drivers...I was honked at because I didn't stop close enough to a car in front of me at a red light. The "gentleman" drove next to me when he had the chance and yelled "close the gap!"

I'll leave the gory details about my less than nice return behaviour.

I'm with Gramma--I do as much of shopping online as possible. And go to a mall on a week-end? I'd rather have a poke in the eye with a sharp stick.
