After 27 straight days of rain we had a dry day yesterday. We didn't make it to 33 consecutive days of rain which is the record in this area. It is somewhat ironic that after a lot of talk about how we just didn't get enough rain last year now there's talk that we've got too much. I guess the problem is that the rain is coming all at once and causing mud slides and flooding concerns.
I'm glad we live in a flat area and don't have the concerns of the mudslides but we have been seeing the effects as far as traffic is concerned. A considerable length of a busy highway was shut down last week after it sunk due to sudden erosion in the area. What a mess.
Jack is going nuts being stuck inside. I'd love to get him out to the park or something. If I had known it wasn't going to rain yesterday I would have gotten him there after his nap. Speaking of Jack I need to go before I end up having to clean the entire house insted of just 3/4 of it today.

I know he had a wonderful time splashing in the water today. He loves it, just like his gramma. And watching him at the McD's play area was fun; he was so happy to be with the other children. Those covered walkways and playsheds at the local schools are great for this kind of weather. I never kept you in if I could figure a way to get you out...
Cassie do you have any indoor play thingys like McDonalds there? I know we have a few here, they have indoor mazes...jumping castles...slides etc. Always fun on a rainy day :)
