Comments

I have to say that I love when people comment on my blog. I'm really abad about posting replies though because I get an email with the comment you've posted but in order to reply I have to wait for my slow dial-up to connect to the site etc. Ok, I'm just lazy. I apologize.

I received my diploma in the mail the other day. It was quite exciting. Now it's sitting in the car on the backseat where my DH put it when he drove it last. I'm not sure what to do with it, there's not many places to display it since we have a now two-year old. Maybe I'll just store it until he's older. It came in a nice leatherbound display book, maybe that was something special they do for their 10-year students :).

Here's something I got from Michelle's blog so I thought I'd do it too.

What were te 3 things you wanted to be when you grew up?
1.Cab driver 2. Vetrinarian 3. teacher
If you could relive a day from your childhood, what day would that be? The day I rolled down the hill in front of our house and said "It's fun to be three!"
You have to paint a quote on your kitchen wall, what would it say?"Self Serve"
What is the one thing you hope to accomplish by the end of the year? Hmm, I don't know.
You are moving to the moon for a year and may bring one flower with you, what will it be? A daffodil
You've just been told that along with your flower you may also take 5 books, what will they be? Whatever I could find at mom's house that I haven't read yet and a Bible.

You have 2 mins to grab 5 things from your home before it morphs into a polka dotted hobgoblin and hops away, what would you grab? (no food/drink/friends or family) 1. Cell phone 2. Photos 3. Jack's pillow 4. pacifiers 5. Amelia's box

It's kind of neat to have that nice diploma, isn't it? Very happy for you!

Gosh, I realize I haven't been here in a while. Does that mean you decided not to walk after all?

Cassie said...

No, I'll probably walk but it's so long until they do the graduation ceremony that they just mail you your diploma and then they give you a fake one at the ceremony.

Best of all worlds--real diploma ahead of time and an excuse to party later on.

I got my bachelor's in the winter, too, and my school held commencement services then . . . and it was bitterly cold and icy. Other than my close family, nobody came. Yee haw.

For one of my graduations, I think for one of my Associate's degrees, though it may have been for something else, the Air Force just handed out degrees to everyone. It was our responsibility after the ceremony to find the person who had the degree with our name on it and get it. Which wouldn't have been bad, had there been like 10 people, but there were about 150...

LOL! That's one "Get to know you" game that everyone is sure to participate in.
