I just wanted to post quickly about what's going on in our lives.
Jack is so cute. He got a hold of my sunglasses and put them on his waist and called it a belt. What a goofy guy. At night I read him stories and sing him songs and his favorite songs are the ABC song and "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star". He says to me, "Sing twinkle twinkle little star how I wonder what you are, MOM!" And he sings the ABC song all the way through but he always misses "K". He also counts for me. He has been able to count to ten for ages but now he teases me and skips 2 and 3. He says "One, Four" and looks at me very sneakily out of the corner of his eyes waiting for me to have a mock fit over it.
He's got a rash that the doctor says is dry skin. It started on his face and by the evening had spread all over his body. She gave me Hydrocortisone cream for it when I took him in because it was all over his face. When I called later cause it spread she said she wasn't surprised. But I think it's awfully odd that all of a sudden he gets a dry skin rash and it spreads all over his body. It just seems strange to me. Does anyone out there have experience with this kind of thing?
My DH is going to look at a boat this weekend and if it looks good he's going to buy it. It's an aluminum boat, 14 ft and it has a trolling motor and a trailer. He's selling it for $100.00. Which is really cheap but it sounds like he's in the military and might be moving. I don't know, we'll see. Mom and I are going to probably go in halfsies or something since his birthday is around the corner.
We're finally getting into fall weather and I LOVE it! I just love the dark dreary days and sitting inside with a book and cup of cocoa reading for hours (or until I fall asleep). I hope all is well with all of you!

Spreading overnight doesn't sound like dry skin. Just be careful with the hydrocortisone cream as it can weaken the skin. My "A" had/has dry skin especially when she was Jacks age, i did use the hydro cream but found over the counter products made by Egoderm much better....quicker to clear the problem up.
Oh that sounds awfull, is it maybe an allergic reaction to something new, washing powder maybe?
I was told to use Sorbelene with my daughter, she is on asthma medication and I suspect the preventer is causing hers. Hopefully he's not comming down with something, fingers crosses for you.
I can just imagine how cute little Jack is, the photo's told so much as well.
Good luck with the boat. We sold ours last year because it stood alot and we didn't use it as much as what we wanted to, now we miss it :(
Thanks Michelle, I wondered if the hydro cream was going to be a problem but didn't ask the doctor because I didn't realize (due to the brand name) that she was prescribing hydrocortisone. I started wondering if I could use over the counter stuff to help but I still don't think that it's dry skin. It's a lot better and yesterday I only used the cream once. He HATES it.
Hannelie, I thought about that too. I had to think back to remember if I'd changed anything. I haven't. We're using all the same stuff. Who know? I just hope it goes away soon. Thanks for the advice!
