Rainy Days and Big Boy Beds
It was quite a busy day. My DH had to work today so Jacky and I were on our own. We hit Michaels around 8am for their sale but Jacky was having trouble sitting still. It's hard for him to be cooped up all the time, which is how it's been the last few days. So I vowed to let him put on his rain boots and play in our great big puddle. He had so much fun. He kept telling me "Cheese!". So that I'd keep taking his picture. What a little cutie. It was good for him to play outside even if it only lasted 5 minutes. It wasn't long until, despite the boots, his feet and legs were wet. He was sooo upset. So into the house we went so he could take a nice warm bath. He was a happy camper then. After the bath he donned his napkin pirate hat and ate his "mackyowni cheese" for lunch. After awhile he and I both took a nap. Not for long though because the dogs started barking and woke us up. Jacky was "Done!" and threw his binkies on his bed. I tried to convince him that he was still tired but he wasn't buying that. After a little bit DH called and told me he was on his way home. We went shopping after he got home and bought a rail for Jacky's new twin size bed. He was so excited to sleep in a "big boy bed". You probably can't tell but he's laying his head on Bob da Mato here. This was after he and daddy put together his bedrail. It was a busy day. I'm ready for bed. Goodnight.

I love that photo of him in his boots. And no one would believe the size of that puddle without photographic evidence. Pirate hat?
At least Jack uses a napkin for a hat. My little buggers have always ran around with a diaper on their heads. (A clean one, at least.)
Oh the rail is so cool..I've never thought of that when the kids were small! I normally will arrange extra pillows or mattress on the floor..in case they fall, they will fall on them and no accidents happened. I suggested that too to my boss who just shifted his 8 months baby onto the big bed. LOL! Okay I'll get him to look for this rail like Jacky's.
Mom, Jack decided it was a pirate hat.
Kirsten, Jack thinks everything is a hat. If he can get it on his head, it's a hat.
Liza, It's made by Safety 1st or the First Years or something like that. They have different ones available from different mfg's. I think target.com has them available and so does walmart.com. I got this one at Target and it was the only one they had at the store.
