Just a little note. We’re doing ok up here. We’ve been without power since around 1:00am today. What a nasty storm. A tree fell on my dad’s house, they're ok. Jack’s got an ear infection or pneumonia (probably the former). I’m posting from work, DH stayed home with Jack since he's sick, not to mention all the schools and daycares are closed. We’ll either be cooking at mom’s (she’s got a gas stove so we can cook there) or we’ll use our camp stove or our barbeque grill (outside of course!)
We’ve got a couple of lanterns that run on batteries and we’ve got plenty of batteries so I hope we’ll have enough. It could be 3 days till power is restored. Boy are we gonna stink!
We can’t complain, it’s certainly no Katrina. We’re “sheltering in place” and we’ll talk to you soon. I'm off to freeze now.

The southern part of Malaysia is experiencing the worst ever flood in 100 years; we're praying it won't reach us the central area. Hope all is well now with all of you there. Merry Christmas!
