They're coming home!!!

The girls are nearly ready to come home. They want me to stay the night at the hospital and take care of them to get my comfort level up about taking care of them nonstop by myself. I'm not sure if we'll be able to make that happen since we have Jack and my DH has to work. I think he might try to take Tuesday off so I can stay the night Monday and then we can bring them home. At least we're hoping they'll come home on Tuesday. We are so ready for them to be here with us!

We took a CPR lesson today and signed their discharge paperwork. I tried nursing again and boy was that frustrating. I started to feel like it's hopeless. I know there are more challenges than if they were full term but it is just so aggravating when I can't get them positioned correctly or they stick their arms out and get them in the way. I had to have two nurses help me position Megan today and then we found out she wasn't latching correctly. Geez, how can this be so hard? How did women do this back in the days when they didn't have bottles? It's also hard because the babies HAVE to bottle feed as well because they are too little and not strong enough to nurse exclusively so they are learning that the bottle is a lot easier than the breast. Anyway, I can't imagine I'll have the time to continue to pump and feed two babies. 20 minutes to pump, 20-30 minutes to feed one baby, 20-30 minutes to feed the other and then do it all again in 2-3 hours. I won't have time for anything else. Anyway, we started getting their room ready for them-finally! It's about time!

Oh I'm so excited here too! It is hard Cassie..but all depends on your strength..inner and outer. Motherhood is hard but if you managed to overcome it, you'll get priceless satisfaction.
