Rainy Day

I used to love rainy days. It always meant snuggling up with a good book and dozing peacefully. Now it means a crazy, hyper, bored preschooler running around my house driving me nuts. At least if we could get out for an hour he could run off some of this energy. It's not like we can't go outside. I understand that it's not going to make him sick and I'm not worried about the babies because I have the baby monitor but I'm getting sort of weiny in my old age. I don't want to sit out in the cold watching him.

I ordered a tent for the crib-it's mesh and it's designed to keep kids from falling out of the crib but we got it to keep our cats out of the crib. I don't worry about them "sucking the breath" out of the babies but I do worry about them lying on them and since the babies can't roll over there's nothing they can do if a cat ends up on their face. The cats used to lay in the crib before Jack was born and really enjoyed it because the dog couldn't reach them. I still find them in the crib during the day when the babies aren't in it. I really would rather keep the door to the bedroom open during the night, I think the babies prefer that since they cry when we shut the door and stop when we open it. Anyway, it came today and Jack is busy playing with the box it came in. It looks like he's getting ready to dump all of his legos into it. Oh well, as long as he's happy. Yup, that's just what he did.

I painted Megan's toenails this morning. People keep telling me I only need to paint one but I don't want to risk it rubbing off before I have a chance to redo it. At least this way it takes longer to completely rub off. And that's a good thing because she doesn't like me messing with her feet.

Hi there, I'm back! ;-)
Oh tell me about it, I feel like a permanent baby sitter too these days, I get nothing done! Boys, but we love them so much!

What a cool idea about the toe nails, and oh my, aren't they just soo cute.

I frowned too at the post about the woman touching your little one, maybe you should just put your straight face up and say "excuse me, please don't touch" gosh, I know it's hard I can't be rude either even if it is for my own sake. Good luck is all I can say.

Glad to read all is well!

Hi Cassie

Salt dough will keep Jack so busy on rainy days like this one - maybe you should take a little time to read back and see what can be done with it, or else just whip up a batch for Jack. There is a recipe in the sidebar and you can click on the title which will take you to the original post with instructions on how to make it.

Thanks for visiting and enjoy the twins, they are lovely.

The nail polish is a good idea! Bet she doesn't know she looks hot!
