Well here it is 11:30 at night and I've been waiting for those babies to wake up to eat. I was sure they'd be up by 10 so I thought there's no way I'm going to bed for 20 minutes just to have to get up again so soon. Then I heard them start to stir, I'm not sure how long ago that was, but they haven't indicated that they want to eat which I was sure they would do when I heard them start to make noise. I am SOOOOO tired! I guess I could call my mom but I don't want to spill Steve's beans. I am not going to call anyway since it's so late. I don't think she cares what time it is, she's been sleeping most of the time lately thankfully.
For those of you who don't know, she is doing as well as can be expected. She's in a lot of pain and discomfort. She was a little grouchy today with the nurses but I was starting to feel a little grouchy to them too. They make her sit up in a chair which is necessary (I don't know for sure why) but her legs are so short that it hurts to have them dangle and if they put the stool under then it brings them up too far. So she wanted to get back in bed after over an hour (they want her to do an hour at a time) but she needed help and it sure seemed to me that they were a little impatient with her and how slowly she was moving. I don't think they really were, I think it just felt like that because of the pain and discomfort. I think I held my breath until she was finally in bed. I wanted to tell them to go away and we'd figure it out ourselves but I figured that would be dangerous (or hilarious if no one got hurt!)
There they went again. I thought "Aha! now they want to eat." and back to quiet they went. I think I will go make bottles and see if someone might be starting to get hungry, maybe then I won't have one screaming while the other eats... nah I doubt it.

I do hope she gets well soon..been away for a while myself. My hugs to you both!
Activity will be part of the recovery, the medical world belief the more and quicker you are up and moving the better, patience is all that's going to help now too.
All the best!
