Jack babysitting-he moved their carseats over to where he was so he could touch them and talk to them while they were waiting to be fed after getting their medication. He was playing his Clickstart Computer game.
Well things are always busy around here. Jack and I have been taking a pottery class. It's really fun. I love throwing pots. I have a hard time cause I want them to be perfect and I keep messing with them till they collapse or fly off the wheel. Jack uses the clay like playdough. It's hard to get him to make something that can be fired. He always folds it which causes air pockets that can make the stuff explode in the kiln. When it explodes it breaks everyone's pieces so I can't let him do that. We've made a few fun things though. We have to glaze them Saturday, which is Jack's birthday. He'll be four now. I can't believe it!
Update: Okay, it's Saturday, it's taken me three tries to get even this far on this post. We went to breakfast for Jack's birthday and he didn't want kid pancakes, he wanted "guy pancakes". We didn't go to pottery, neither of us felt like it today. My shoulder is still hurting from the bursitis so I can't "throw" and Jack was too excited about his cars to want to go.
I woke up this morning and went into the babies' room and they were laying there fussing and holding eachother's hands. It was so sweet. Often when they are laying next to eachother Erica will reach over to Megan and Megan will grab her hand or put her hand in her mouth or suck on Erica's arm. Erica has recently found her thumb. It is so sweet. I think it's cute. Before she ever did it DH had said that he prefers the pacifier because he thinks it would be easier to break them up that than of sucking their thumbs. I like the thumbsucking because it's a way they can self soothe and they don't have to have someone constantly shoving a pacifier back in their mouths. They aren't going to drop their thumbs out of the crib and cry until I get in there and pick it up. Now that Erica is doing it consistently DH thinks it's adorable. We still swaddle them at night but we leave Erica's left arm out so she can suck her thumb.
Surprisingly they both have curly hair. You can kind of see Megan's in the one picture there. I had noticed that it sort of curled after their baths but I always brushed it straight thinking the waviness was probably just from towel drying it. Nope, it's definitely curly. It's so short on the sides that it lays flat but it's long on the top and it just curls like crazy, especially if it's wet. It's so adorable. Megan will take a pacifier sometimes very briefly if she's really upset. It's like it calms her down enough to be able to fall asleep but she really doesn't take it for more than a minute at a time except in rare instances.
Their personalities are coming out a lot now. Megan is a talker, she talks to us, her mobile, the dogs, herself, anything she can see. Erica is quiet and easygoing. She smiles when you look at her but doesn't make a lot of noise. She also doesn't get mad like Megan does. When Megan wants something she means NOW. Erica will fuss a little and then if she see's you're coming she'll quiet down and wait. Megan see's ya and screams louder like, "Where the HELL were you?" When they're hungry and they see their bottles they start kind of chuckling and they start sucking before it gets to their mouths. They suck on their tongues a lot and on their lips.

I am totally entranced with the pictures of the kids. I'm looking forward to my copy of the three together. I see you have a great photo of Erika with her thumb, which is just as adorable as Megan's curls. Wow.
