Dentist

After years of putting it off I finally had a full set of x-rays and a cleaning a few months ago at the dentist. I have cavities. Big surprise. Yesterday I called to make an appointment and they said they could get me in later that morning did I want to come in then? No, I didn't. I wanted to make the appointment for 6 months from now and then reschedule when it got near. I decided I ought to just go and get it over with. As prone to infection as I seem to be I figured I don't need to wait until I get an abcess or something. So they decided to fill 5 of my 6 cavities. OWWWW! My mouth still hurts. I have had fillings before but I had no idea it was going to hurt. The last time I had any fillings was 10 years ago or longer. I thought that as long as the numbed my mouth before they did the fillings I would be fine. I didn't realize that they hurt afterwards. Of course it may not be so bad if I didn't have so many cavities. No more putting off the dentist for me.
Our insurance stinks and we end up paying a lot for any dental work we have done. That's the real reason I put it off. I'm not afraid of the dentist, I'm not his #1 fan mind you but I am not scared. I have always figured I'd rather do something more fun with our money. Anyway, I still have a crown and one more filling to go but that's gonna have to wait until I feel like paying a small fortune on a crown that isn't a golden, jewel encrusted one that I would wear on my head.

Ouch! The dentist is the last place on this earth i would ever go! Infact, i've been once in 22 years LOL. Fortunately, i have no fillings, but when i was a kid i had teeth pulled as my big fat pie hole was not big enough to accomodate a full set (LOL, i know, its hard to beleive!) i still remember the dentist from back then...sends shivvers up my spine.
You poor pumpkin, i feel for you :(

Your nephew wants to be a dentist when he grows up.

Yeah I had to have teeth pulled cause my mouth wasn't big enough either. Shut up Steve. The dentist said it was good I came in when I did cause the cavities were deep but luckily there wasn't any nerve damage yet.

My nephew would make a great dentist. I would fly to Texas for dental work if he was a dentist.

I thought her nephew wanted to be a gymnastic lawyer when he grew up. And before that a ballet dancer-crocodile hunter...Don't tell us he is beginning to live in the real world? His world was so much more fun!
