Howdy

Well, school starts tomorrow. Of course the online classroom has been open for a week now so I've already got a load of what I have to do. It looks like it might be a lot of work and I'm only taking one class. So it looks like I'll be around this blog even less than I have been lately. I even had a dream last night about school. It's a recurring one; I'm trying to figure out which classes I need to graduate high school because I've suddenly found out that I didn't really graduate because I didn't have enough credits. I've been having this dream for a few years. I hate it because it gets me in a panic. Maybe finishing my Associates with this class will make the dream go away.

On a different note altogether. Jack is doing well. He's been a little crabby lately and I think it's cause he hasn't been to the playground in a few days. I'm going to take him later this morning. The last time we went there were two kids, a sister and brother. The girl was about 3 and the boy was probably an older 4. They were mean to Jack. Jack likes to watch the older kids and he kinda follows them around but he doesn't bother them. Anyway, he walked up to the little girl on the big kids climbing structure and she started yelling at him to get away from her. He just looked so confused, he didn't know what her problem was. I do, she's a brat. Her grandmother did make a feeble attempt to make her be nice but I just steered Jack to another part of the playground. Then later on we were at the small kids area and the older brother was there standing behind a little fence. Jack went over and stood about 3 feet away from the fence and watched to see what the other kid was doing. The boy screamed at him to get away from him and said he couldn't play there. The mother of the two then made a feeble attempt to make him be nice and I once again steered Jack away from the little brat. Then Jack stumbled and fell down and the boy started laughing at him. I have never encountered this before. Most kids who are that much older than Jack see that he's a baby and are kind to him even while making it clear they'd rather play with older children. I guess we'll see what Jack is like with other children when he's that age. I know I'll be aware of how he treats other children. I know that Jack didn't know these kids were being mean to him but I did and it really bothered me. I guess it's good to get used to it now though because childhood is full of that kind of nonsense. I guess it's just that Jack is so sweet and gentle with other kids that it it suprised me that other kids were mean to him.

Well, I, for one, don't even like those kids much right now. And if I had been there, I might have said something. I wish we could protect our babies from everything bad. But I couldn't protect mine, and I guess you won't always be able to, either.

Wow, i find that rather disturbing, that's not normal child behaviour...ok taking off my work hat now!
When my daughter was little, she always gravitated to the older kids, fortunately they never made fun of her, thank goodness because she's a very gentle sensitive kind of girl...............LOL, not like her mum at all!

Cassie, thanks for the update on Steve. Unbelievable hurricane season.

Mom-I didn't like them much either.

Michelle-Maybe Australian kids are just generally nicer than American kids. It wouldn't surprise me any.

English Professor- No problem, I'd like to know that they were out of there but it seems it's not possible right now. I heard one guy talking on tv on his cell phone, he had gone 48 miles in 13 hours trying to leave Houston. A lot of people are running out of gas and they haven't even made it out of the city.

Good luck Cassie. You'll do well, and I'm excited for you.

Now, all you need is EP to write a recommendation for your transfer application to her University and you will be well on your way to your bachelor's!!!

(I'm kidding EP)

Could be a lucrative market EP..ahem...do you think your Uni would make room for an Aussie wanting to complete her masters, of course with the right references that is!!

LOL...Cassie, you know the word verification thingy, well mine here says....Jackass....LOL how hilarious!
