Snow

It's snowing here in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Jack is soooo excited about it. I have to admit I am too. My friend and I both watch and wait for the snow when it gets to be the right conditions. Then we call eachother at all hours to see if the other knows it's snowing. We're like children hoping for a snow day, except in our cases we're hoping our husbands don't have to go to work. That rarely happens. But once in awhile it will snow multiple inches which means that the roads can get kind of nasty. We're not equipped for the snow in our area. Buying and maintaining snowplows to be used every 3-5 years just doesn't make much sense. So when it really comes down the area pretty much shuts down. It's not the snow that is scary to drive in, it's the ice. It gets icy when the snow melts just enough to create slush and stay on the roads until it gets cold again and freezes. It's scary since my DH leaves for work before 4am. Well I must get outside with the boy, he needs to play in the snow!
