We had the outlaws here for a visit last weekend. We went to Wild Waves, a waterpark/amusement park near Seattle last Saturday. It's a pretty cool place. I remember going there when I was little, back then I think it was only an amusement park and it was called Enchanted Village. Then when I went again in my early teens they had added the waterpark. It was really fun then with 4 waterslides and a huge wave pool that makes you feel like you're in the ocean. It also had some other water rides like a canon ball drop and a river ride. A few years ago Six Flags bought it and they've added a bunch of new stuff. There are 5 new waterslides that you ride down on intertubes and a river type ride that just meanders along, you ride on an intertube along that too. I had fun I guess. I'm kinda too old for that stuff now and Jack was at home not to mention that I wore the wrong kind of shoes and my feet were killing me as we walked back and forth between the waterpark and the rollercoaster area. I hate rollercoasters. They scare the gee whiz out of me. I like watching them though. It's enough of an adrenaline rush to see other people facing impending death, I don't need to face it too. It reminds me of when my brother took me to King's Dominion in Virginia. We went on the Volcano. I was in tears when we finally got off. I was so afraid that it was going to start again. Then when I visited him in Texas we went to Sea World and rode some crazy ride and it was the same thing. He was yelling about how great that was and I was crying cause I was sure they were going to start the ride again. At least at Sea World they have all the fun sea lion shows and stuff to amuse you if you're not a rollercoaster junky. Truly I can't believe people will stand in line for hours just to be nearly flung through the air and killed by a rollercoaster. I remember going on the Screaming Eagle when I was about 9 and just loving it. I'm not sure when I became so scared. I didn't have a bad experience or anything. I guess I just grew up and became aware of my own mortality.

Cassie isn't the Roller Coaster fan that I am. Still, I manage to convince her to get on at least one whenever we go to a park together. I think she likes being reminded how much it terrifies her, and she likes having me to blame.

Cassie, AstroWorld here in Houston has a few really good lookin' ones. When are you and the family coming back down?
